DAN WHITE IS A RECORD PRODUCER, COMPOSER, SONGWRITER, ENGINEER, ARTS CURATOR... HE IS ARTIST IN RESIDENCE AT CENTRAL SAINT MARTINS AND FOUNDER / DIRECTOR OF BUFF RECORDS: RECORDING STUDIO, MUSIC PRODUCTION COMPANY AND INDEPENDANT RECORD LABEL, BASED IN EAST LONDON.

After graduating from Central Saint Martins in 2009 with a degree in Fine Art, Dan went on to form the band Tribes in 2010. The band's debut album 'Baby' charted in the UK top ten and the band were nominated for ‘Best New Band’ at the NME AWARDS in 2011. Tribes toured for three years with sell-out tours in the UK, in Europe and the US as well as playing main stage slots at many major festivals across Europe, Japan, the US and South America. Dan has worked and recorded at many top recording studios including The Motor Musem in Liverpool, BBC Maida Vale in London and Sound City Studios LA. In 2014 he was comissioned by Central Saint Martins to setup and run a new music program at the college. Metaphonica is now in its fourth year. The project supports innovation and experemantilism in music production and performance. Dan has composed scores for many short films, commercials and written songs for other artists. Dan founded Buff Records late in 2016. Buff is an independant record label,recording studio and music production company based in east London. Buff put out their first release last month with a new young band called FREE MONEY. The first single 'I WANT IN' has had huge success online and across UK Radio Stations. The track was premiered on BBC Radio 1 by Phil Taggert and has just claimed a spot on the BBC Radio 1 Specialist Playlist.
